Jim Brady

After joining the Marines right out of high school, Jim Brady had the opportunity to excel professionally while serving his country. He went from Private (E-1) to Master Gunnery Sergeant (E-9) during a 20 year career. He served on the USS Holland AS-32 Holy Loch, Scotland and as an infantryman in H.Co. 2/6 Camp Lejeune, NC. He had a tour as a drill instructor at both Parris Island, SC and Officer Candidate School, Quantico, VA. He was the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor at The Ohio State University, NROTC Unit. He was the Deputy Warden of the Marine Corps Brig, Camp Lejeune, NC and Director of the Marine Corps Correctional Custody Unit for first time offenders. His final assignment was the Assistant Director of the Military Corrections Academy at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Jim was the former owner of two businesses and CEO of Kwikwipes.com. He invented a towel dispenser, which he received a licensed United States Patent for his invention in 2006.

Upon retirement from the Marine Corps in 1997, he began his teaching career through the “Troops to Teachers” program. As an educator Jim taught at Princeton High School, Scarlet Oaks JVS, The Ohio State University and Xavier University. He was principal, athletic director, student services director at Clinton-Massie Schools. He served as Business Manager for East Cleveland City Schools and Superintendent for Westfall Local School District, Fayetteville-Perry Local Schools, Buckeye United School District and is currently the Superintendent of Wilmington City Schools, Wilmington, OH.

Jim has always served his country and community. For his efforts he received the 1990 “Service Person of the Year” award in Ohio. He also received the honor of being selected as the Great Oaks Vocational Schools Distinguished Alumni award recipient in 2010. He is currently serving on the Board Member for the Ohio Troops to Teacher program, as well as the Ohio School Safety Council.
